PROGRAM EXPERIENCE
The Bigger Picture Leadership Experience gives you the insights, experience, and catalyst essential for you to lead at the functional level through balancing short-term and long-term, tactical, operational and strategic perspectives.
BEFORE

Participants are welcomed into the program with a package of digestible articles and videos to prime their thinking and introspection around leading a function. They complete several quick, straightforward assessments to capture their leadership style and how they handle the bigger picture. Direct reports, peers, superiors, and clients/customers complete a personalized assessment of the participant's leadership effectiveness based on critical behaviors proven essential for success in leading a function. Participants answer several thought-provoking questions about their leadership opportunities and challenges and also share their leadership goals and goals for the program. They are also tasked with holding a guided conversation about their learning and leadership goals with their supervisor. We provide participants with an agenda and talking points for this conversation.
DURING

For five days, participants engage with highly-qualified facilitators in an fast- changing, participant-driven learning environment. They focus key personal opportunities and challenges based on assessment-generated personal data, and hands-on learning experiences from the global business simulation.

Learning modules include: Harnessing Markets, Increasing Agility, Building Bridges, Mastering Exponential Complexity, Executive-Level Prioritization, Global Watch - Global Business Simulation, and One-on-One Coaching Sessions

• Extremely relevant and useable content based on deep research that challenges perceptions, builds leader of function mindsets and skills, and supports leading the function with your leadership style
• In-depth learning via the real life-based simulation brings concepts to life
• Group feedback via a robust, facilitated debrief
• In depth, actionable individualized feedback sessions with each facilitator
• Group work allows for real-time leadership roles, insights, and feedback
• Continual networking fosters lasting connections
• Personalized action plan for applying new knowledge and tools back at work on day one
AFTER

Participants have continual access to program and post-program materials, as well as facilitators and other participants as resources for ensuring they're applying their learning on the job most effectively.

Ongoing support includes:

• An online portal with resources and support focused on your needs
• Access to eLearning resources to support your learning on the job including books, podcasts, articles and quick-reference checklists and tools
• Three 1-hour phone-based executive coaching sessions with a certified Columbia Leadership Group executive coach
• Three administrations (1, 3, 6 months post-program) of PROGRESS, our post-program measure of application of your learnings back on the job
